Mentor and Make a Difference!
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Project ECHO High School Business Team Mentor. Project ECHO mentors work with a specific high school business team to provide one-on-one guidance, support and peer-like tutoring. Research has identified that most of our high school students live in single parent homes, or in homes where both parents work varied work schedules including evening and weekend shifts. MBA graduate students combined with executive staff level mentors offer personal, career and technical support that may be absent or unavailable in their homes. The goal of ECHO mentors are to help business teams further their written business plans, presentations, review and assist with their financial spreadsheets and budgets, and provide relevant feedback along the way. Mentors work with the team throughout the program year in an effort to help these teens prepare for the annual High School Entrepreneurs Business Plan Competition. Once your application is submitted, potential volunteers will be required to complete a background check prior to being paired with a team.
