Call for Speakers
We love volunteers and recruit some pretty phenomenal business women and men to lead breakout sessions during various events throughout our program year. We are currently recruiting speakers for:
2016 High School Entrepreneurs’ Business Boot Camps
Events take place inside UCLA’s Korn Hall Auditorium and you will lead a 30 minute informative presentation on-stage to a group of 150-300 teens. Your session will be followed by a 20 minute breakout session led by volunteer mentors, and teens will come back to Korn Hall for final comments.
𝠁 Ideation Presentation (October)
𝠁 Marketing Presentation (October)
𝠁 Finance Presentation (November)
𝠁 Pitch Presentation (November)
2016 ECHOnomics: Seminar Series in Entrepreneurial Concepts and Personal Development.
Immediately following the Boot Camps, students may elect to register to attend ECHOnomics: Seminar Series in Entrepreneurial Strategies and Personal Development. ECHOnomics aims to provide students the opportunity to continue their exploration into entrepreneurship, business and self-discovery. Breakout sessions will span from ideation, marketing, finance, technology, public speaking, as well as more general professional skills, such as networking, personal branding, developing LinkedIn profiles, writing a first resume, interviewing techniques, and more! (scroll to the bottom to see last year’s program brochure).
Topics vary widely and are created and offered by speakers who are interested in leading a small group. It’s hard to know what sessions will be popular, but you can generally plan on presenting to a group of 5-50 teens. Don’t worry, since ECHO requires teens to rsvp for their sessions, we’ll be able to let you know your final count in advance of the event.
ECHOnomics #1: Sunday, October (date tbd), 2016, 12pm – 3pm
ECHOnomics #2: Sunday, November (date tbd), 2016, 12pm – 3pm
Location: UCLA Anderson School of Management
Parking: A campus map will be provided, but please plan to park in Parking Lot 5 near Korn Hall. Level 6 (the very top level) has metered parking available.
# Students: Each session will vary and depend on student interest. ECHO will notify speaker of their session’s confirmed attendance prior to the event.
Classroom: You’ll lead your session inside a lecture hall and will have a podium, internet access and a UCLA student to help get you get started.
Nows your chance!
Project ECHO is currently building the slate of breakout sessions and is inviting industry experts to lead a session. Sessions will generally be scheduled for 30 minutes. Have a great idea for a session that you’d like to lead? Now’s the time to let us know!
